Module 16: Mute Rules in Prowler Cloud

Track 3 · Prowler Cloud · Time: ~45 min · Pass: 8/10

Scenario

You spent two days writing a CLI mutelist (Module 08). Now you'll port it to Prowler Cloud's Advanced Mutelist, and use Simple Mutelist for the common "mute these exact findings" cases. The audit team wants every mute to have a documented justification and a review date.

Learning objectives

  1. Differentiate Simple Mutelist (UI, per finding) from Advanced Mutelist (YAML patterns).
  2. Create, edit, disable and delete Simple mute rules, including bulk muting.
  3. Understand when each takes effect (retroactive vs next scan) and how triage statuses create mute rules.
  4. Translate a CLI mutelist YAML into Prowler Cloud.
